Since my sixth-grade theatrical debut as Hero from Much Ado About Nothing, when MAC makeup was used for the elementary school production, I have been loyal to that brand. However, I eventually started looking for clean makeup—makeup that is as pigmented and long-lasting as MAC. For the last 15 years, I have loved finding ways to express my personal style in a business-casual setting. When I shifted my focus to staying home and raising my two boys, I felt lost in a sea of leggings. Finding ways to still express my style daily as a mom of two active, outdoorsy boys has greatly helped my mental health.

Leggings are tricky. I have a dog, and I'm always rolling around on the ground with my boys, both indoors and out. I need leggings that don’t collect dirt. I’ve tried Alo and Lululemon, but I have to say, Abercrombie has the best quality. I have pairs that have lasted two and a half years so far, and they don’t collect any fur, leaves, or dirt. They are also moderately priced.
